10 Most Underrated Video Games Of 2015

8. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

Wolfenstein: The New Order was a pleasant surprise when it was released back in 2014. Unlike previous games in the series, it was more than just a cash-in on a big name in the FPS genre, and actually told an interesting alternative-history story set in a 1960s Europe where the Nazis had won the war. Combine this with some excellent, ability-filled first-person action, and it was one of the sleeper hits of 2014. The Old Blood is a standalone expansion pack and prequel to The New Order in which you control BJ Blazkowicz as he attempts to infiltrate the legendary Castle Wolfenstein. The game plays heavily on nostalgia by taking players back to the absurd Nazi-zombies scenario and castle setting of Wolfenstein 3D. The plot may not be as imaginative as The New Order, but a new stealth-focused gameplay angle amidst the classic action helps distinguish the gameplay from the New Order. Another major tweak to The Old Blood is the addition of the steel pipe, which can be used as a melee weapon, or disassembled into two and used to climb walls and smash up objects in the environment. It's goofier, sillier and less dramatic than The New Order, but The Old Blood is a fun twist on its predecessor, bringing the campy charm of the original 90s game into the current generation.
