10 Most Underrated Video Games Of 2018

9. Kirby Star Allies

Vampyr game
Nintendo

Considering how beloved Kirby is, it's quite surprising how unreceptive everyone was to Star Allies.

Even when it was announced, Star Allies didn't really get much attention, a problem that was present even all the way up until the game launched.

Upon actually releasing everyone who played Star Allies agreed it was pretty good, and then the game was pretty much completely forgotten about. Even worse were the people who thought Star Allies was actually bad.

If you look past the easy difficulty, what you'll find with Star Allies is a genuinely fun game with lots of replay value and a lot of love for the series itself.

In fact, the focus on cooperative play is exactly the shot in the arm that Kirby needed. If the developers had made another traditional single-player Kirby game it would have been pretty disappointing, yet somehow Star Allies seemed to get more flack for trying to do something a little different.
