10 Most Value For Money PS5 Games
4. No Man's Sky
In 2016, the word "disappointing" became synonymous with No Man's Sky. Boasting 16 quintillion planets, each populated by procedurally generated flora and fauna, it felt like we were about to reach the zenith of gaming. But after mining for ore for hours on end, many players switched off the game, and never revisited it.
If you still feel betrayed by how badly No Man's Sky initially turned out, it's understandable. After all, Hello Games did not present the game they promised. But after seven years, four major updates, and over 20 minor tweaks, things are very different.
Now that No Man's Sky includes multiplayer, base-building mechanics, permadeath mode, surface vehicles, procedural missions, crossplay support, and an actual plot, it has become the epic saga we always wanted. Remarkably, Hello Games gave customers this deluge of bonus content for free. (They really want to let us know they're sorry.) As such, you can access hundreds of additional features, while still paying the original retail price.
Even though the galactic-scale survival title is available on all major platforms, the PS5 port deserves special attention, due to the Fractal update, which supports the PSVR2. This may not be No Man's Sky's first dip into VR waters, but the headset's feedback tech and haptics guarantee a more enveloping experience.
Although VR can feel forced, it works perfectly here, since it gives you more incentive to explore, which was always No Man's Sky's biggest selling point.
