10 New Improvements The Bioshock Sequel Needs To Have

3. Give Us A New World To Explore

Now that Bioshock Infinite firmly established that there's a giant sea full of Lighthouses that are actually portals to other dimensions, how about we get to explore them? Rapture was oozing with atmosphere, it felt lived in and had history. Columbia had character coming out of its giant bird-protected ears. The new developers have a massive job on their hands when it comes to creating another world as memorable as the ones we've seen. They may be tempted to play it safe and have us revisit these locales, but I think they need to be brave and go somewhere new. How about exploring the main surface of America or another country? It would be great to explore an alternate future where Nazi's had taken over Europe. How about setting it post-Columbia and post-Rapture where everyone knows about these places? Better yet, how about us getting to see glimpses of the kind of damage Columbia did if it fell from the sky? There's also the possibility the series might take another turn and head into space. We've had an eccentric building a City underwater, we've had a religious nut building one in the sky, what's to stop someone building a space station?
