9. Wii U Exclusive Trilogy
What do Uncharted and Gears of War have in common? They were both exclusive trilogies of games, where all three games told a continuous large scale story and all three games came out in a single hardware generation. Nintendo needs a trilogy, be it a new IP or from an existing franchise, that gamers can get invested in for the life of the system. Something that fans can get excited about seeing continued every couple of years, using the same engine and fundamental features, but giving them regular fixes of something that only they get to play. The Wii suffered with a weak library of games in its later years, having the third entry in a trilogy to look forward to could have helped keep the system alive and thriving.
