10 Obscenely Evil Video Game Villain Plans

5. Terrorizing One Family For Centuries - Sly Cooper And The Thievius Raccoonus

final fantasy 14
Sucker Punch

The Cooper family, for all its noble, Robin Hood-esque intentions, has always had a nasty habit of not just making enemies, but awakening an almost primal HATRED in the bones of certain people. The kind of hatred that drives one to the most insane of lengths. For example, Clockwerk.

This obsessive owl was so consumed by his hatred of the Cooper line that he rebuilt himself entirely in steel and machinery, in order to ensure that the Cooper family would never be free of him. And considering that the game shows glimpses of him as far back as ancient Egypt, the fact that he managed to not only invent robotic prosthetic limbs but also computer chips - as seen with The Hate Chip in Sly 2 - is all the more impressive.

We don't even really know why he hates the Coopers so much. After this much time, though, I doubt even he really knows anymore. But whatever his reasons, Clockwerk has dedicated the past thousand years to ensuring that the Cooper family never enjoys a moment's sleep. A hatred only ended by Sly Cooper in Sly 2, and even then, Clockwerk manages to permanently traumatize him and the Cooper gang before going down.

While nothing compares to the more gory acts of evil seen on this list, Clockwerk's dedication to his hatred for one family is nothing short of chilling.
