10 Obscure Video Game Movie Tie-Ins You Had No Idea Existed
6. The Fifth Element
It never bodes well for a tie-in game if it’s released a year after the movie, so it was no surprise to anybody The Fifth Element video game was a soggy mess. The game switches control between Korben and Leeloo (not played by Bruce Willis or Milla Jovovich, if you were curious) through various locations from the movie; not that you can tell, since the levels are covered in a thick fog to hide how ugly the level design is.
The controls are a pain, and you’ll likely lose half your health bar by the time it takes you to line up a shot. Where the movie was a bright, garish affair the game is surprisingly glum and muted, and it’s a real chore running around flat levels trying to figure where to go next.
There’s the occasional bright spot like fighting Gary Oldman as a boss, but otherwise, The Fifth Element is best consigned to the bargain bin of history.
