10 Obscure Video Game Movie Tie-Ins You Had No Idea Existed
7. Outlander (Mad Max)
While not officially a Mad Max game – since the developer lost the right to use the license just before the game was published – Outlander is in every other way a Mad Max game; and a surprisingly decent one too.
The game is split into two sections; one has you driving a souped up car driving through the post-apocalyptic desert, where you blast raiders with a shotgun or rockets mounted to the car. The other part is a side-scrolling adventure, where you get out of the car to look for ammo, food and fuel while fighting off angry wasteland dwellers.
It’s not groundbreaking but it's done with a lot of style and the developers clearly poured a lot of love into Outlander, resulting in arguably the best Mad Max game out there. Just don’t tell Warner Bros.
