10 Most Offensively Bad Game Endings Since 2000

9. Rage

At least Gearbox knew they screwed the pooch. Id Software, on the other hand, doesn't quite seem to realize why the ending to RAGE is so terrible. Never mind the tired premise of an amnesia-stricken survivor being plopped into conflict beyond his control. Don't think too hard about his unending willingness to risk his life for people he doesn't know. Forget all of that€”all of it€”and the problem is still staring you in the face: it just freaking ends. You and your resistance allies have only just gained a strong enough foothold to launch a true counterattack when the whole game up and vanishes. A few minutes ago you were storming the enemy base, and now you're staring at a credit roll? It's abrupt, unsatisfying and reeks of poor planning. Whatever caused it, RAGE ended with nothing more than widespread proof that it's aptly titled.

Spends far too much time on JRPGs and gets way too angry with card games? Well that doesn't sound anything like me.
