10 Once Great Video Game Franchises That Should Disappear
7. The Sims Come on. Enough is enough. How long can we pretend to be entertained by a game that imitates real life. That's not interesting, that's, well, boring! The whole point of a video game is to immerse yourself in a new dimension and explore the unthinkable. So surely it's not fun when your tasks become cooking dinner and washing up? Otherwise, what's the point in playing a game, I'm sure you've got plenty of that to do within your own home! I belittle the game a little too much if I'm being honest. It started as quite a fun idea, building up a household and creating your desired livelihood. Watching your little Sim go off to work and create relationships and even start a family with other Sims. But the vast amount of expansion packs that have been released, along with two revamped versions of the game itself, The Sims franchise is surely living on borrowed time. How long can we continue to enjoy paying bills or once again putting out the fire in the kitchen because of your poor cooking skills? This is a game that I struggle to understand how the fascination ever lived on from the original edition. This is not a game, but more a diminished version of reality.
