10 Overhyped Games From 2012 That Actually Sucked

8. Halo 4

Halo 4 isn't necessarily a bad game, but the fans hype it up so much that if it's anything less than perfect then it's a failure. Let's not blame it for having terrible fans though, let's blame it for having a story so packed with tension and action that it just becomes ridiculous. Just like how Dead Space games have a multi-tentacled monster around every corner, Halo 4 has you performing actions every 5 minutes that if ignored would destroy the universe. The situation loses its gravity if you're preventing galactic annihilation every 5 minutes, where other sci-fi games lead you up to a crescendo, Halo 4 is so loud from the beginning that the small change in tempo at the end doesn't make any huge difference. Why is it ranked at 8 rather than a lower number though? Well to be honest does anyone expect a Halo game to be good apart from the die-hard fans? Unless you're a 13 year old drooling over a Master Chief figurine you're not going to enjoy a Halo game. Sure it was over-hyped and it was bad, but it's Halo, what do you expect?
