10 Overhyped Games From 2012 That Actually Sucked

3. FIFA 13

Surprisingly enough, I think quite a few people will agree that FIFA 13 was one of the most over-hyped games of 2012, to the fans that disagree though; you're shelling out £50 a year for a game where the only change is one or two names. This is what I don't get about sport games like this, the developers put out a new game every year with bugger all changes and people lap them up. I've played a match on every FIFA from 2009 to 2013 and the only differences I noticed were the choices for music, to add insult to injury they decided to add a lil wayne song to FIFA 13. Most of the players remain the same, the game mechanics have barely changed and the commentators are still using exactly the same phrases. Yet even though all the games are pretty much the same, EA is still praised for taking a "great evolutionary step", Darwin would be turning in his grave. It's interesting to note that the 4 games that sole more than one million copies within 48 hours of release are FIFA 13 and the three recent call of duty games. Seems like a trend is starting to form where you don't have to make a good game to make millions, or produce a good film to attract fans and fame, or have talent to make millions as a singer. It might be time to buy a create a nuclear bunker and disappear inside it with my older consoles and block out the world.
