5. Ice Climbers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3XRnGRfdNw Funnily enough, Sonic the Hedgehog isn't the fastest of the SSB bunch. With the release of Brawl, the adorable Ice Climbers stole that spot despite being tethered to one another. Lethal grabs also make these two strong fighters at lower tournaments where opponents are less likely to properly evade, but that same strength may undermine the meta game if mishandled. The technique of infinitely grabbing an opponentone exclusive to Ice Climbersgrew to such prominence that it earned its own name: wobbling. The term comes from competitive player Wobbles who, in a Northern California tournament, grabbed his way to 9th place with the Climbers. Not a bad result for what was effectively a violently one-sided hug fest. As the SSB Wiki
reports, the controversy around this technique is heated. The jury is out as to whether it holds credible influence in tournaments due to its situational nature, but there's no question that strengthening the techniqueperhaps, oh, through dynamic movesets which better stun opponents thereby making them more vulnerable to grabscould do more than raise an eyebrow.
