10 Overpowered Video Game Weapons That Made You Rage Quit

1. Gnasher Shotgun - Gears Of War

At one time or another, no matter the iteration, Gears of War's eviscerating Gnasher shotgun has been at the forefront of controversy due to its imbalanced nature when compared with the rest of the series' armoury, but no iteration of the COG soldiers' best friend has been as inherently overpowered as the original, a legacy that exists due to several contributing factors.

First and foremost, whoever happened to be the host (no dedicated servers!) would be in God mode, able to react to and register damage faster than latency-stricken participants. Then you'd have the laughably weak Lancer that took an age to stop the impending onslaught of a trigger-happy Gnasher user and, finally, the culprit itself.

Roll, crouch, run: try whichever manoeuvre you wish, once a Gnasher wielder made it into optimal range of your soon-to-be lifeless body, the tight spread of the Gnasher's buckshot would eject into your singular body mass, reducing it to several unrecognisable chunks of gore.

Oh, and let's not forget the series' wonderful Active Reload mechanic, which would enable it to down you in one shot if its muzzle was so much as visible to the naked eye.
