10 Overpowered Video Game Weapons You Weren't Supposed To Get

9. Umbra - The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Umbra is a legendary sword that's involved in one of the Daedric quests in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

The sword has driven its owner mad, causing her to develop an unquenchable bloodthirst and fully identify herself with her weapon, to the point where she began to call herself Umbra as well.

Now, the quest related to Umbra requires you to deliver the weapon to Clavicus Vile, and the player is supposed to trigger it after they have reached level 20, since defeating Umbra the mercenary is a pretty tall order that can easily get you killed.

However, this is Oblivion we're talking about, so obviously there is a way to get the blade as early as level 1 anyway.

Because Umbra's dungeon is located close to the starting area, you can actually get there without experiencing any greater danger. Fighting Umbra is a different thing altogether, of course, but luckily the arena where the duel happens has a small ledge that you can jump onto to barrage the mad mercenary with arrows without risking any damage yourself.

With enough arrows and patience, you can bring Umbra down and then unleash the devastating power of her blade as though you were twenty levels higher!

It's not a bug, it's a feature!
