10 Perfect Gaming Remakes That Easily Beat The Originals
5. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 ReMIX
Kingdom Hearts is one of the finest RPGs that the PlayStation 2 has to offer (that's quite a statement but it really is great), mixing great action gameplay with RPG stat-building, as well as uniting the ultimate odd couple of Square Enix and Disney. It means there's a scene in this game where Cloud Strife fights Hades from Hercules, and you know what? It works. A great game deserves a great remake then and luckily, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 for the PlayStation 3 is exactly that. Not only does the game get a sweet looking high-definition upgrade (colourful games like Kingdom Hearts really show off high-definition tweaks) but it's also the 'Final Mix' version of the game, adding extra scenes and content only previously available in Japan or America; finally getting our European hands on Final Mix is worth the price of admission alone. As an extra bonus though, the game includes the remade version of Chain of Memories (previously a Game Boy Advance spin-off) which had previously been remade for the Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts 2 (confused yet?). Again, this marks the remake's first appearance on European shores and just adds to an already pretty sweet bundle. Sometimes less is more, but then again, more is often more.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
