10 Perfectly Crafted Video Games That Never Need Sequels

6. NBA Jam

Whether you are a fan of the sport of basketball or not, it's hard to deny the simple charm of NBA Jam. It's addicting, "one more game" kept gamers up for countless bouts of insomnia and it took precise skill to master. As challenging as NBA Jam was to master, it didn't matter, because playing it is such a joyous experience. The movement from one side of the court to the other feels exciting and fast-paced, matched with the desire to pull off the craziest dunks imaginable. While there was an attempt to bring NBA Jam into the modern day with an upgrade to the graphics and dunks, it lacked the simplicity of the original game and could never be identified as a true "sequel". It speaks to the raw fun of the original, as fancy new graphics wasn't what NBA Jam was ever about. It was about pure, unfiltered fun, and you'll never find a more complete package than the original NBA Jam. Leave this one be, developers.
