10 Phenomenal 2017 Video Games You're Already Missing Out On

10. LEGO Worlds

Traveller's Tales

Grab it if you like: Dragon Quest Builders, LEGO Dimensions, Minecraft.

Here's a weird thing; LEGO Worlds was set up to be 'Minecraft done with LEGO', and it totally is that, but the nearest comparison in terms of structure actually feels more like No Man's Sky.

Now, before you run for the hills screaming for people to hide their loved ones, what I'm saying is you get a string of procedurally-generated mini-Lego worlds, which all have quests to complete and objects to scan. It's this flurry of immediately varied content that sparks the imagination and gets you thinking of just what you would put into your own blank landscape canvas - which you'll unlock after collecting enough Gold Bricks (the currency awarded for completing said quests).

LEGO Worlds released without any real fanfare despite still being hoovered up by the younger demographic. It's actually surprisingly complex, bringing together every major first-party LEGO property into one game before letting you smash them together to create literally anything your mind can conjure.
