10 Phenomenal PS4 & Xbox One Games Nobody Is Playing
4. Letter Quest
A recent inclusion on the PS Plus offerings for November, it's very easy to hate something that looks like Letter Quest when you've forked out a few hundred notes for 'the next generation of gaming'.
And if that's just a wall you're never gonna get over, no problem, but in terms of pure gameplay, Letter Quest is a supremely neat little gem (and one you can play for free on phones if you don't download it for free before the end of November). Essentially a turn-based side-scroller, you have to spell words to deal damage, with certain letters leading to increased hits and even critical attacks.
The game drops in more modifiers in the form of unusable letters, poisoned ones, 'infected' pieces that must be used, etc. There are a ton of things to unlock to beef up your character, Grimm, but as a genuinely awesome premise backed by tight, five-minute-burst gameplay, Letter Quest has genuinely surprised me the more I've played it.
