10 Phenomenal PS4 & Xbox One Games Nobody Is Playing
3. No Man's Sky
A universe coded to procedurally generate before your very eyes, to the extent where quintillions of planets spring forth from nothing and allow you to traverse them, also letting you interact with whatever creatures and plants show up too?
Yeah, something was always going to go a bit wrong.
That said, No Man's Sky is not a bad game - it's just one that was mis-sold. It's the fault of hyperactive mouthpiece Sean Murray getting carried away with his own promises, not that of the remaining Hello Games team members that worked themselves silly for three solid years getting everything up to scratch.
Simply take a step back and divorce yourself from the pre-release hype cycle. Just looking at what thirteen people coded, and you'll hopefully see it's a pretty awesome, indescribably ambitious game.
Update 27/11/2016: Hello Games finally released 'The Foundation Update', revamping the game's entire progression with base-building, quest-giving aliens, freighter ships to purchase, space battles and a completely redesigned universe.
