10 Phenomenal Video Games With Shockingly Bad Boss Fights
6. Dead Space 2
After suffering from another twelve-hour nightmare full of adult, children and even baby Necromorphs, Dead Space 2 culminated with you finally getting to destroy the Marker and officially breakup with your demonic ex.
As everyone will tell you – and rightfully so – the Hive from Dead Space sucked as a final boss. Still, it was at least a grotesque fiend that gave you the heebie-jeebies, unlike the Marker and Isaac’s clingy girlfriend.
The problem was that - instead of being scary - the long-awaited confrontation was irritating due to being a massive clusterf**k where swarms of shadowy Necromorphs invaded your privacy in an insipid landscape of black and bogey green.
Along with being a visual bore and a respawning spot for enemies, the Marker was also laughably simple to destroy with its weakness being the equivalent of a massive bullseye. Oh, and Nicole's screams of betrayal were inadvertently hilarious.
It was a final boss fight so bad it even made the cinematic and action-heavy set-pieces in Dead Space 3 appear way better in comparison.
