10 PlayStation Franchises We Need On PS5
9. Sly Cooper
This series is weirdly underrated, but it's one of the best platformers in PlayStation history.
The Sly Cooper series debuted on the PS2 with the Thievius Raccoonus, a simple platformer introducing Sly Cooper and his gang as they traveled the globe to go after the men that killed Sly's family and stole a family heirloom that contained all of the thieving secrets of Sly's ancestors.
While the first game was a bit basic in terms of a platformer, the second game changed up the entire formula, replacing the more linear levels with missions in larger, open levels. This change stuck, with the rest of the series just getting more characters to play as, more unique places to sneak around in, and more skills to use.
With the first three games being developed by Sucker Punch and the fourth one for the PS3 being developed by Sanzaru, the series has been dormant ever since 2013. With the last game ending on a cliffhanger, there's no reason why Sly Cooper can't tightrope walk his way back to the PS5.
