3. Ghost Pokémon
-->
It was pretty creepy ground for Pokémon to introduce not just ghosts, but a tower that doubles as a Pokémon gravesite. Haunted by the spirit of an angry Pokémon killed by Team Rocket, Lavender tower served as the player's first introduction to the Ghost type, which could only be seen in their true forms with a special device. Ghost Pokémon are awesome. They're the one type that hasn't declined in appeal as generation after generation has gone by. But in real life, these mischievous creatures would be far from cute. Duskull, Misdreavus, Haunter, and more would not only offer a different spin on evil spirits, but have some of the strangest and scariest Pokedex entries. To review, Duskull loves the cries of children, and one lick from Gastly or Haunter will cause a slow and painful death. Drifloon grabs onto the hands of unsuspecting children and carries them to the underworld, while Chandelure burns the spirits of its victims, leaving only their bodies behind. Banette, outside of using its body for voodoo vengeance, stalks children it believes disowned it in a previous life. Could you imagine if malevolent spirits existed and commonly haunted people? Could you imagine if they were as common as squirrels and did the things described above? Yeah, that's one world I'll stay away from.
