10 Problems That Stop Popular Video Game Companies Being Perfect
7. Microsoft's Lack Of Exclusives
Microsoft actually started out this generation with more exclusive games coming to its console than any of its competitors. Unfortunately, very few of them lived up to expectations and now it seems as though the company is out of ideas.
Sony on the other hand got off to a rather slow start, but now has quality games lined up for the next four years or so. Between God of War and The Last of Us 2, Sony has prepared a stacked lineup for the PS4 going into the future, while Microsoft has... Crackdown 3?
Not helping the problem is that when Microsoft does bag a big-name exclusive, it rarely ever stays an exclusive for long. Originally releasing on Xbox One only, Rise of the Tomb Raider came over to PS4 a year later, while Dead Rising 4 is following in its footsteps with a date set for Sony's console at the end of 2017.
With a new console on the horizon, Microsoft needs to give players a reason to stick around and follow them into the future, and its lineup of exclusive games is going to be the one thing fans care about the most.
