10 Problems With FIFA Games Die-Hard Fans Won't Admit
2. Infuriating Celebrations
A growing influence of pop culture can be seen in the in-game celebrations. From the 'Gangnam Style' dance to dabbing, opponents will use these celebrations after every goal to infuriate you. They could tap a rebound in to an open net and still break out these obnoxious celebrations as if they have score the best goal in the world.
In previous renditions of FIFA custom celebrations simply did not exist. Your team would perform one of a few generic pre-rendered celebrations and the game would move smoothly on. From FIFA 12 players began to gain more and more freedom in their celebrations, choosing which direction they wanted to run in, what they wanted to do while they were running and exactly what stylistic move you wanted to pull off at the end to really rub your goal into the wounds.
Sprinting up to the halfway line, shushing the whole way and making the celebration animation as long as possible can't have been what EA were out to achieve, right? Who am I kidding, go RB+Y+Y your way to another opponent rage-quitting.
