2. Resistance: Fall Of Man

I love the original Resistance. When it came bundled along with my brand new shiny PS3 I was introduced to the next generation with an alien invasion of England. Being both a history and sci fi nerd, Fall of Man hit all of the right notes with its alternative setting. For one thing it was just nice to get a solid FPS that wasn't set in America, fighting Russians. I won't get into how I think Insomniac missed a trick by not continuing the series into mainland Europe, rather than 3 invasions for the price of 2 staple MURICA! At the time Trophies were but a glint in Sony's eye, but Resistance handled this by having its own set of in game achievements. Things such as jumping your jeep off a cliff or killing 5 enemies with a hedgehog grenade. Staples that we barely bat an eyelid at these days. All Insomniac would have to do is transfer that already made check-list of tasks over to a shinier counter. Like most on this list though, the actual probability of this happening is so low we've breached a chimeran tunnel network with nothing but a sharp rock and good intentions.
