10 PS4 Games Everyone Only Plays For The Trophies
1. Slyde
Slyde is an interesting entry as it essentially a re-skinned version of 1000 Top Rated, which is a game that got pulled from PSN after only 24 hours of being released. The game is a simple sliding puzzle game that costs 99p. Generally, not many people would buy that kind of game for a console, but the major appeal of this game is the platinum trophy that will unlock after completing only one single puzzle.
It's pretty obvious that the game only exists on PSN to squeeze a little bit of money out of trophy hunters, and to be honest, for less than a cup of coffee, it might be worth it to some. To get the platinum trophy, and the other 13 to go with it, you simply have to open up a medium difficulty puzzle and enter a very specific line of button presses, which can be found with a quick internet search. After that is done, 14 trophies will pop, including the platinum.
The game may not be fantastic, and the trophies could be perceived as 'cheating', but when all is said and done, you've just got yourself a free set of trophies for less than a pound. That's a win win.
