99% backwards compatibility? These are the 1%.

With the next generation right around the corner (as insane as that feels, considering the year we've had), Sony and Microsoft are gearing up to dominate the Holiday season, and secure your hard-earned cash.

On the one side is Microsoft's Xbox Series systems - the S and the X - with a heavy emphasis on backwards compatibility and Game Pass itself. The latter is a "Netflix for games"-style service Microsoft have been building for years now, and it's something that easily nets them the "value for money" vote, despite a lack of new titles on Series tech.

For the PS5 though, Sony initially didn't discuss backwards compatibility whatsoever, nor the idea of newer titles working on older hardware - but that's all changed.

Since seeing Xbox coverage be received so warmly, we've now been told former PS5 exclusives Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West and Saackboy: A Big Adventure are all coming to PS4.

Not only that, but Sony are committed to making sure "99%" of PS4 games work on PS5, even at launch.

That 1%, though? Well, you're out of luck if you own any of the following games. Unless you're keeping your PS4, that is.
