PUBG has been one of many victims of an oversaturated market - one where it didn't help when they attempted to sue competitors Fortnite across 2018, when their game started losing traffic.
Competitor pressure is hard to deal with, and could be a factor in PUBG making a misguided attempt to encourage new players by evening out the playing field with hapless bots.
Unfortunately, all this decision did was piss off veteran players, who felt that the addition of easy-to-beat bots completely ruined the appeal of the game in the first place. And when they tried to remedy this by making the bots more intelligent it just made everything worse again.
Bots have completely ruined the game, it's just not intense anymore. When you run into a bot it completely takes you out of the immersion that we are all accustom to when playing. They ruined the main thing PUBG had going for it. ?
