This is a hard one to call. Yes the new Create A Sim mode has a lot of viable options. It's clearly been built with a single purpose in mind and that is to be able to build people you know, as closely as you can. It is very similar in a number of ways ideologically to Nintendo's Mii Maker on the Wii. Unfortunately, it shares a lot of the same shortcomings. Of course, it's prettier than Nintendo's offering, and it has much more depth. But the limitations are staggering considering the earlier offerings of the exact same tool. The lack of colours and colour wheel is noticeable, as is the slight lack of clothing choices. The sims tend to turn out looking extremely similar, which might be an extremely cynical and insightful commentary on modern society, or it might just be a set-up to allow more content to be shoved into a 'Stuff' pack for a hefty fee. Which do you think is more likely?
