10 Reasons Spider-Man PS4 Is The PERFECT Spider-Man Movie
9. The Cast Are Excellent From Top To Bottom
It's not just Yuri Lowenthal who does a stellar job with the script; just about every character in Spider-Man PS4 is brilliantly portrayed, delivering unique characteristics while staying true to the comics they originated from.
There's a long list of cast members on show and all of them do great work. Whether it's Travis Willingham successfully channeling Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin in the game's opening or the unsavoury business of Mark Rolston's Norman Osborn, every performance is engaging, even when some characters get more screen-time than others.
With solid writing that never shoe-horns characters into roles they weren't meant for, the story is always engaging. Laura Bailey's Mary-Jane Watson is a strong source of support for Peter for example. When the game does reach towards darker moments, they land with all the right impact as a result.
The end of the game's first act is a particular highlight, as the newly introduced Miles Morales (voiced by Nadji Jeter) desperately searches for his father when Mr. Negative strikes.
By contrast to the grim and moody stories in many modern games, Spider-Man boasts a sense of charisma and humanity that permeates the voice cast, making the story one to remember.
