10 Reasons The Division 2 DESTROYS Anthem
7. Fast Loading Times
Brutal loading times have been the death of countless video games, and they quickly become a major source of frustration while playing Anthem.
EA's apparent insistence that Anthem be developed on the Frostbite Engine - which is much better-suited for first-person shooters - is reportedly responsible for some of the game's heinous 1-2 minute loading screens (and that's when played on an SSD).
Not all the loading screens are that long, of course, but the sheer number of them when switching between locales is mesmerisingly bad, severely hampering the sense of immersion.
In The Division 2, though, exploring the world is almost entirely seamless once you've loaded in, allowing hours to quickly pass without players really noticing. Anthem's glut of loading screens meanwhile invites players to watch their clocks regularly.
