10 Reasons To Replay Final Fantasy IX After 20 Years
2. An Extraordinary World
The characters, the story, the locations, the lore, the music, the engaging gameplay – they all come together to make Gaia one of the most remarkable interactive worlds.
You could be walking around a town or city, engaging in conversations with the locals and buying weapons and armour. You could be racing through fields, forests, and deserts on the back of a chocobo you caught. Or you could be scaling the skies in one of the two airships in the game. Whatever you’re doing, it’s unlikely you’ll ever get bored.
This is because Gaia is the most wonderful world in which to lose yourself. There always seems to be new places to discover and explore, and going back to old locations is often worth doing. It is a world host to a variety of cultures and people, constantly changing as the game goes on, all affected by the events of the story.
One more point – Gaia, at least in the English version, has its own tribute Scotland. This on its own is worth experiencing.
