10 Reasons Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Soundtrack Was More Influential Than The Beatles

1. Skateboarding To The Beatles Would Suck

We’ve now reached the final and far most important point on this list. Skateboarding to The Beatles would be utterly dreadful. Slow jams? Dreary vocals? You really think Tony Hawk was listening to Let It Be when he landed the 900? Of course not.

The fact of the matter is, you cannot expect to pick up pace when carving a bowl if you don’t have a bit of tempo. It’ll throw your co-ordination way off and, frankly, that’s dangerous. This was something blissfully overlooked McCartney and co when they were selfishly vomiting out their various albums.

How ignorant can you get?

You’d be better taking Maxwell’s Silver Hammer off him and bashing your own head in with it than attempting to balance on a rail with that tripe coming out your headphones. The end result would be about the same.

Imagine you’re bombing down a hill, you’ve got some Limp Bizkit blasting and you’re popping ollies over cracks in the street, dropping off kerbs and swerving round pedestrians with ease. All of a sudden, the track ends and Eleanor Rigby comes on. You’d be a splat on the pavement in seconds.

The Beatles were nothing more than uppity Boomers and, in today’s world, they’re owed about the same amount of recognition as P.O.D receive.
