10 Reasons You Shouldn't Write Off Marvel's Avengers
1. Fantasies Become Reality
At the end of the day, even with so much that can be viewed unequivocally as "bad" in Marvel's Avengers, it's still just a game that lets you finally become an Avenger just like the titular character Ms. Marvel does in the single-player story.
Ever since Robert Downey Jr. looked into the camera and stated "I am Iron Man" back in 2008, fans have become more and more obsessed with the Marvel brand and have been dying for a game like this to release. And even with a few bugs, this game makes the player feel like an Avenger.
Being able to finally have a decent non-movie tie-in game where players can become Thor or Black Widow and really feel like those characters in the comics and films is simply amazing for the fans who have spent their whole lives pretending to be them.
Those fans that spent their childhoods playing with small plastic toys or running around their backyards imagining themselves as part of the universe created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and the dozens of other writers, artists, and creative geniuses behind Marvel can now engage in a whole new way with the characters they love.
Marvels Avengers isn't perfect, but there is so much room to grow and so much the game gets right that it's difficult not to be optimistic about its future. Here's hoping it lives up to its promise within the coming months.
