Like most games, Marvel's Avengers has a lot of progression involved in playing it. This can be seen most obviously in the combat. At the beginning it can be difficult to understand how combat works, and it is much harder when you are constantly switching between characters who have their own movement style, combat advantages and disadvantages, gear, skills, and all sorts of things to keep in mind.

The single-player gives players a lot of time to understand how Ms. Marvel works, but then there are the other five superheroes to understand and try out - until eventually the player finally understands the combat and even finds a character they enjoy playing in the single and multiplayer modes.

Combat takes time to get used to but thankfully this game is all about taking time to expand and learn. And as the player levels up their characters, the combat improves and becomes easier until all of the button combos and skills become second nature.
