10 Reasons You're Wrong About Star Wars Battlefront

1. It's Just Plain Fun

The most important element of any video game is whether or not the player is having fun. All the graphics and specs in the world don€™t matter if the game design it supports is tedious or frustrating. From what I€™ve experienced with the beta, Battlefront has a lot of positives going for it. However, the most important take away from it is that is was a fun experience that made an hour seem like 5 minutes, and that was just playing the same level over and over again. I know some people don€™t like how simple the game is, but in hindsight I think it makes Battlefront more approachable for everybody. It doesn€™t overwhelm the player with countless classes, weapons, and abilities. Some people are complaining about a lack of these things, but that is what attracts people who couldn€™t be helped caring about that stuff. This is Star Wars, not a modern war simulator. It€™s simple and easy to play so that anyone can have fun. It€™s what differentiates this from games like Battlefield or Call of Duty. It takes itself less seriously because Star Wars is about fantasy and having a good time. It€™s far too early to exclaim the virtues of this new Battlefront in full, as it€™s possible that the formula could grow stale quickly post release. All I know is how I feel, and what I know is that, despite all the pre-order and season pass garbage bogging it down, I am now looking forward to Battlefront with cautious optimism where there was once none at all, and that is because I got to play it and realize how much of a good time I was having. And really, that€™s kind of the only thing that matters, isn€™t it? Are you looking forward to Star Wars: Battlefront after the beta? Let us know in the comments!
