If you're a pre-millenial gamer then you've likely suffered through framerates from PC games you've installed that punch far above the graphics card you have. Remember 3DFX? The promise of decent gaming graphics brought to the home office that never really materialised.

If you're a millenial gamer, then you've been gaming from PlayStation 2 onwards - blessed with decent 3D graphics and fewer jaggies as the years pass. You've witnessed the birth of amazing gaming engines like Frostbite and Source. You saw with your own eyes the jump from Grand Theft Auto III to Grand Theft Auto IV or Ocarina of Time to Twilight Princess.

And so, to complaints around Breath of the Wild's framerate: the worst affected areas are the towns and some of the combat. It is not a stuttering mess from start to finish as some would have you believe. These complaints are mainly from comments written below articles published online: any unqualified gamer who hasn't even played the game itself can tell you the fram3r4t3 totally BL0Wz!!1!, and can't even compare to their GTX Titan Black running Mass Effect: Andromeda in 1080p via 60fps, yo.

Ignore it. It is not enough of a problem to make you rage quit the game and sell it on, never to play again. Play it, and enjoy it.
