10 Reasons Zelda: Skyward Sword Is WAY Better Than You Remember

2. YOU Made Fi Annoying

My personal theory for why the Master Sword, The Blade Of Evil's Bane, the sword that seals the darkness, only goes through maybe 5 fights if you fight smart before needing to recharge in Breath Of The Wild, is because Fi is still upset at the internet for making fun of her for 6 years (and only coming up with original jokes about her for like half of one of them) and this was her revenge.

Was she just a tiny bit overbearing? Yeah, but during gameplay segments she only ever came out when you pressed on the B button, so you have no one to blame but yourself. And at least she always provided pertinent information about your objective, instead of - say - Navi, whose only purpose was reciting information you already know.

The only real problem with her is that, unlike Midna - who interrupted you quite a bit herself - Fi was just the magical equivalent of an onboard AI for the Master Sword. So while Midna's expository dumps were laced with her sassy and charmingly egotistical demeanour, Fi is very straightforward, giving you the info with zero dancing around.

But say whatever you want about her, Fi's Lullaby is still utter class.
