10 Recent Video Games We Were Way Too Harsh On

1. Dragon's Dogma 2

Star Wars Outlaws
Capcom

Thanks to its emergent narrative, pawn system, and intricate world, critics saw Dragon's Dogma 2 as superior to its predecessor in every way.

With that said, the reception from players was anything but positive, considering Capcom activated the micro-transactions after Dragon's Dogma 2 was reviewed. Although many items could be obtained easily in- game without using real cash, it was still an unethical ploy. Coupled with the ridiculous difficulty spikes and appalling performance issues, there were plenty of reasons why the medieval title drew the ire of players.

Rather than getting off their butts immediately, Capcom waited six months before patching these issues out.

Even though the creators took their sweet time, it was a joy to experience this breathtaking world, exhilarating combat, and deep RPG mechanics without being bogged down by those initial faults.

Sadly, the developers' efforts came too little too late. With concurrent numbers less than 1% of what they once were and the SteamDB Rating at 60%, it would take a miracle for the fantasy sequel to recover. Even though Dragon's Dogma 2 is one of the best role-players out there, nobody is playing it.
