Now that we know that a brand new engine is being built from the ground up for Xbox One, and that cherry picked features from previous games will mean only the best will be carried over, it seems undeniable that Microsoft and particularly 343 Industries are throwing everything they have at Halo 5: Guardians to ensure that this is the defining moment of the Halo franchise up to this point. Especially as 343 Industries had to pick up the Halo franchise from the extremely capable hands of Bungie and release Halo 4 at the end of the Xbox 360's lifecycle, pushing eight year old tech as far as it could go.
