Twisted Metal's hard rock and heavy metal artwork aesthetic endeared it instantly to millions on its release back in 1995, and part of the whole 'shock-culture' appeal was down to artwork-featured character Sweet Tooth. Real name Marcus 'Needles' Kane, although the game itself is about vehicular warfare Sweet Tooth's background was that of a ice cream truck-driving serial killer - just the sort of parent-scaring title we loved to indulge in when we were younger. Although don't let that do a disservice to just how much fun could be had with the arcade-sensibilities of this now-legendary title. For 2012's reboot of the franchise we saw a far more twisted and gothically-tinged version of the character than ever before, and there's just something so quintessentially terrifying (and yet enjoyable) about a clown-masked psycho driving a weaponised ice cream truck.
