Breath of the Wild is an amazing game showcasing just how far a company can take the idea of open world, and we’re all hoping its upcoming sequel Tears of the Kingdom will be even greater. There’s plenty of enemies in the world of BotW, and more than enough obstacles and puzzles to get around.

But there is one, particular enemy that will cause everyone trouble - especially in the early parts of the game, because it has devastating attacks that can one-hit kill low level Links. The guardians - originally built to help stop Ganon and his minions, they have become corrupted by Calamity Ganon’s power and are now hostile to our brave, green hero.

The Stalker Guardians, in particular, are extra frightening. While there are numerous types of Guardians - decayed, scouts, skywatchers, and turrets - the Stalker variety is the most troublesome. As long as you’re watching out for them it’s not so bad - they’re huge with eight legs and a glowing body - but the fact they wander around the map means you can stumble onto one at random.

Link may be silent, but you’ll be screaming when this thing puts a beam attack that does 15 hearts of damage right up your rear.
