Generally considered to be the best in the series, Symphony of the Night was a milestone in the Castlevania franchise. The open-ended gameplay, detailed graphics, and dark, gothic theme all helped to ensure that the game is still considered one of the best action-RPGs ever made.

The Inverted Castle isn't so much a secret level, as it is an entire secret world. As the name suggests, you can visit a version of the game's castle that's been flipped upside down, after defeating Richter while wearing the Holy Glasses. It's the exact same layout, just flipped horizontally, although there are different enemies and bosses, along with a separate colour scheme.
