10 Secret Open-World Bosses Everyone Missed

As with every other game Bethesda has made over the last two decades, 2015’s Fallout 4 scatters tons of formidable foes across its open-world post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Mysterious super mutant Hammer – who inhabits West Everett Estates – is unquestionably at the top of that list (even if it’s Sole Survivor who instigates the fight).

Of course, there’s only one quest associated with the location (Quartermastery, given by Scribe Haylen at the Cambridge Police Station). Therefore, there’s automatically a limit number of gamers who’ll even have a reason to go to West Everett Estates in the first place, and if they do, they’ll still need to make it to the southwest part of the compound to get his attention.

Those who do will see that he’s equipped with a missile launcher and a super sledge, making him tricky to take down. That said, getting those weapons – in addition to some other items – following his defeat is worth the struggle.

By venturing into West Everett Estates, players may also discover Hammer’s holotape (a recording Hammer left for fellow super mutant leader Fist to update Fist on Hammer’s situation and to ask for more recruits).

Thus, tracking him down is rewarding for multiple reasons.
