10 Secret Video Game Endings For Doing The Impossible
1. Urizen - Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry 5 starts with a mock boss fight with the game's primary antagonist, Urizen. You're meant to lose this fight in order to jumpstart the rest of the game's story, so naturally the developers expect you to lose.
This said, Urizen isn't actually unkillable—he's just really hard to kill!
Yes, although the intro Urizen is just as strong as his endgame counterpart, while you don't have any of your fancy powers yet, you can secretly take the Demon King on and win the fight.
It takes a lot of dedication as you don't deal much damage and Urizen can bring you down in seconds, but if you manage to survive around ten minutes in this hopeless gauntlet, you might be able to kill Urizen and unlock a secret special ending for those who beat the odds.
The ending is a simple fade to black credits roll, the joke being that without Urizen beating Nero there isn't much story to tell. However, it also comes with an additional unlock in the form of a harder difficulty setting.
It's all pretty simple stuff, but at the same time, you have to admit it's pretty hilarious how it all just ends without any flair.
