The AI of Oblivion can be hilariously buggy at times, and there are plenty of ways you can mess with it.

However, if pranking individual NPCs isn't enough for you and you'd rather do your trolling on a mass scale, then the goblin wars are for you!

The goblin wars are a system of secret mechanics tied to the eight goblin tribes in Cyrodiil. The mechanics allow you to influence the goblin politics and create full-on wars between the green monsters that can even result in raids being sent to other settlements in the game.

To start a war between the goblins, all you need to do is steal one tribe's idol and then place it somewhere in the territory of their rivals.

This will cause the tribe to go retrieve the idol, triggering a full-on conflict between the goblin warriors and adding even more hilarious chaos into your game.

You can even sic the goblins on imperial cities with this trick if you decide to leave their idol inside the city bounds.

Behold, the goblin whisperer!
