2. Tekken X Street Fighter

I'll leave it up to the comments to decide whether this or the no.1 pick is the craziest thing possible, but there was a time when Namco and Capcom united, to reveal the 'Tekken x Street Fighter project'.

Said to be two titles - the first injecting both sets of characters into the Street Fighter engine, remixing animations and control schemes to fit - and the second, vice versa.

After years of production and teases, we got Street Fighter X Tekken, and it was a massive success. Only, in the time after... the other game never materialised.

Production from both companies had picked up massively; Capcom focusing on Street Fighter 5 and Namco working to make the return of Tekken the best it could be.

Then, in December 2019, director Katsuhiro Harada straight-up asked the fandom if they were still waiting for this almost fabled Tekken-based Street Fighter game.

Of course the answer was a resounding "Of course I'm waiting", to which Harada has held off on stating where the project is.

Thankfully, Hirada also noted earlier in 2019 that Tekken X Street Fighter was "at a pretty far stage into its development", making it sound like the team could turn it around asap.

Tekken 7 is slaying right now, Street Fighter's brand recognition is finally restored, so why not bring those together?
