10 SEGA Games That Need A Remake

6. Ghouls 'N Ghosts

Pretty much the original Dark Souls in 2D, Ghouls 'n Ghosts could have huge potential if it was remade - although its name does underplay its quality.

The side-scrolling platform game was a hit in 1988 but the franchise (Ghouls 'n Goblins) has been on a steady decline with the last entry coming in 2010. Despite the unfortunate direction of the franchise, the opportunity to embody King Arthur and kill Ghouls and, predictably, Ghosts is unmissable.

King Arthur battles Lucifer and restores the souls he has taken in this game and while it may not have the distilled class of the Souls games it does use its horror tropes well. A remake of this game would be perfect for those who want a 2-D platform experience with the creepy elements of Dark Souls but perhaps not the bloody action of Blasphemous.

There would be some things that need changing as the prospect of saving Princess Prin-Prin does sound a bit cheesy these days. Nonetheless, a good story and solid platforming make this game a worthy contender for a remake. Particularly with the Demon's Souls remake coming soon.

Whether its Nic Cage films or any game that's easy to pick up it's my kind of entertainment.
