10 Spectacularly Wrong Video Game Reviews

8. CVG - Battlefield: Bad Company 2

I don't think I've ever disagreed with a review as much as I did when I read Computer and Video Games' review of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Author Rob Taylor disses the campaign mode of Bad Company 2 the entire time, making good things bad. While he credits DICE's success in the destruction department (and praises the multiplayer, obviously), he criticises nearly everything else. Taylor accuses DICE or ripping off several different games and movies, seemingly being a clear Call of Duty fanboy. This comparison of Bad Company 2 to Modern Warfare crap is unfair and unnecessary, as Taylor proves in his review. They are two completely different games with very different followings. Bad Company 2 - contrary to what Rob Taylor might say - has an excellent storyline, excellent characters, and excellent gameplay. It is solid, consistent, and exciting. Regardless, Taylor has had his say. Unfortunately, he must have had a blow to the head when playing the campaign. His review is biased and ignorant.
